Make Skype Video Call on Android

If you are using Android and a fan of Skype, today you got a great news. There has been a new Skype app on Android that allows you to make a video call between Android device users, meaning the special long- awaited application, at last has come!

According to Android Community users, Skype video call- support works very well and from now onwards, you can download this handy too for your Android baby and start to make a video call as many as you need.

So far, we can not make a video call on Android via Skype, though this feature has been available widely on PC version so long. Needless to say, video call is a very close communication in which you can be “touch” your relatives, friends on the screen by your hand!

Skype is still leading the communication network services thanks to its powerful specific application and stable transfer speed with million users. Currently, Skype has been available on various devices including Android, iOS, Blackberry…

The newest Skype app not only does support video call but has many handy features. Took a glance at Android Community, I found the UI is really elegant with 4 main tabs: Contact, Call, My Info and Event Listed. It is very easy to navigate your contacts list there. Then, it offers 3 functions: chat with another (IM), make a call (Voice) and the last is what we are willing: make a video all (Video). Some testing Sky app on Skype one again shows that it is always a strong service as ever. The audio quality is really good.

However, as what Android Community reviewed about the video quality, it is not “ideal”. For more details: this comparison is between Skype on Android and Skype for regular PC. Meanwhile, with the presence of video all on Skype, people can enjoy a more convenient video call solution than Tango since the quality is the same and Skype is much more popular than Tango. That is the main reason the new Skype app are much eager among Android users.

Another nice offer is you can sync your account from the desktop version, so that the whole contact list will be available on the phone. Now, you can grab this handy tool for your own Android phone. Here is the link from Droid-Life:

  4. Michael says:

Hello, Be carefull about this software!. I tried to install this application 8 times getting the same message: error installing. after this it erase all my address book and all applications not leeting me install nothing. I am really upset and sent this application to the appropiate authorities for checking. Thank you.

    • Thanks for dropping by Michael. I have not installed this handy application so far. I think we can mark this is a kind of “leaked” version, not enough compatibility to use for a vast community but testing purpose only. Perhaps we have to wait for few months to enjoy the official Skype version that supports video call on Android.

  5. Eddie says:

hmmm.. Looks like everyone is just too eager to release their products these days without enough testing, leaving users to lose their cool. hate it when that happens.

  6. Tony says:

Just work for devices that have front-facing camera.

“I have not installed this handy application so far” -Daniel

Why would you post something you haven’t even tested? What kind of a geek are you? Fail.

    • You are welcome man! In this point, you are right! However, I always try to post something useful for readers, even I have not experienced. The reason for that is very simple, they are confirmed information or probably tested by others guy.

In this case, to be honest, I have not owned any Android smartphone. Just a poor geek indeed man!

Also, this application works well man. Many other have tested it. BTW, thanks for your words. I will try to improve my coming works for sure!

  8. Beny The Kid says:

The apk and these links are all designed for the Thunderbolt. That is the only official release so far. For some reason, it doesn’t install well on anything else, if at all. Not sure why but that seems to be the case.

Take nothing away from the review or Dan. Anyone who lives in the Dev world knows that if it’s not an official release (and it’s not or it would come from the skype website or be available on the android market) it’s “use at own risk”.

  9. ammar says:

  12. A Reader says:

Notice all the ads on this page? Daniel is about driving traffic by posting total FAKE articles. Do not install this application on your phone. It was NOT tested by the author of this article.

    • Thanks for your comment, at first, one of my reader! Sorry for any inconvenient issues may happen with your owns. Let me explain the case, please!

As you may see in my blog post, I have not tested the application due to a personal reason: I have not owned an Android device but Blackberry so far. However, that does not mean the information in the article is not trust-able. You see, I have read more than one resource of the news and many Android fan had ever tested it. Also, it was published on at least two reliable blogs, just see the credits in my post.

I have not ever thought about any black hat SEO methods or fake information as you mentioned. Just playing fair with blogging trip and then I may get some juice from it, that was what I bear in mind so long. However, the application in the article has been on the testing phase so it may not somehow work on some specific devices for sure.

      Anyways, thanks for your feedback!
