Official: Make Skype Video Call on Android With The Newest Application

One of the most viewed on my blog is here in which I covered a story (tip) about the way to make video call on Android by using an unofficial Skype version. In the comment field of this post, some of my readers even said, they cannot install Skype on their Android device. Though this tip is reliable and possible since it was tested by many popular geeks and Android lovers, I felt quite unhappy since there have not been the official version from Skype and that is the reason for some unwanted problem.

Do not worry and no longer waiting for it, now the official Skype application for Android that support video call has made its debut! Just download Skype and start making a video call on your Android now!

That is a very great news from Skype. Today, via Twitter, Skype has announced the newest version (2.0.0.45) on Android Maket. From now onwards, Android users can easily make a video call on your device by using the official Skype version.

As far as I know, Android is running very fast and sooner or later, it will be leading operating system in the smartphone and tablet market, surpass iOS for sure. Not only do Android handsets become more popular, its function and hardware features also turn to be more powerful. Almost medium and higher Android devices now have already had front- facing camera, which allows users connect and interact with theirs friends and relative more closely.

As Skype notifies on Android Market, the video -call- supporting Skype version works only Android 2.1 and higher. Some of the popular Android handsets which will work with Skype includes Google Nexus S, HTC Desire S, Sony Ericsson Xperia neo, Sony Ericsson Xperia pro. If your device is not in the list, you should not worry. There will be more supporting in the coming time.

With the newest Skype version on Android, now you can make free video via 3G or Wi-Fi, chat, sharing stuff and so on. Perhaps, this version will bring tons of joyfulness to Android fans, specially those who are eagerly waiting for so long. At least, there is an ironic trail in the story: Skype is becoming a core business part of Microsoft, meanwhile Android is backed by Google!

      • Yeah, my phone doesn’t have front camera, so I couldn’t make video call. Anyways, I don’t use this feature much, voice call is enough at the moment. :)

        • I think, you could take advantage of various video call services, even G + in connection with friends and relatives. However, after you will be in US, a front camera Android phone is a high recommendation!
